Qi Gong

Sometimes called a walking meditation, qi gong helps to quiet the mind, balance emotions, calm the nervous system and strengthen the physical body.

qi gong enhances balance, stability and creates a calm mind and supple body

Emotions are energy in motion. They are meant to flow through us and be released. When we hold onto them, keep reliving an experience, energy gets stuck and causing blockages, stagnation and eventually physical issues. Our muscles, facia and organs tend to be repositories for the stagnate energy. The knotted muscles, stiff neck, loss of flexibility in the knee or hip may resolve when stored, stagnate energy is released.

Grief, fear and anger are some of the most common emotions, we as humans, get stuck in. It is more beneficial to fully experience the emotion, let it flow through us, and then release it. If we cannot move past it, our physical body is greatly affected in a negative way.

When we release resistance, we flow through life with effortless ease, like water. Regular qi gong practice helps keep the body's  pathways and systems (meridians, circulation, nerves etc.) clear so that your energy can flow.

Qi Gong benefits:

  • calms the mind and settles the body for meditation

  • gentle but powerful warm- up for yoga, dance, any athletic activity

  • helps release tension and negative emotions

  • assists waking/energizing in the morning, relaxing into sleep in the evening

  • clears brain fog, enhancing concentration

  • improves balance, helps reduce falls in older adults

  • increases core and lower-body strengh

  • improves flexibility

Sessions may begin with offerings of several rare china teas. These

were customarily drank before qi gong practice to assist the

energies moving through the meridians.

Essential oils are offered to open respiratory pathways

and assist focusing the mind.

A  practice could look something like this:

  • tea, oils, meditation

  • breath-work to clear nose, open sinuses and prepare the lungs

  • warm- up

  • stretch

  • activation

  • energy flows

  • stances (for building strength and power)

  • mediation to allow energy to settle

There are many different routines to focus on many different areas of the mind, body and spirit. Each session can be fully customized to the group or individual based on needs or objectives.

Private and group sessions now available in your home, studio or retreat. This is a great way to customize sessions for yourself or a small group of friends. Host one session, or set up a weekly routine...your body will thank you!
